Since September 2022, The Kölsch Crew has been hosting the legendary pub quiz “Kölschet Pläsier em Kwartier” almost monthly at the pub Kwartier on Zülpicher Straße in Cologne. Over 30 editions later, it’s clear: this quiz is a local institution in the Veedel.

How the Kölsch Pub Quiz works

Teams of 2 to 6 people play. Each edition consists of three rounds of questions – and all of them revolve exclusively around Cologne:

• Round 1 – Surprise Theme: Always different, always Kölsch. Sometimes historical, sometimes curious, sometimes crazy – but always related to the cathedral city.
• Round 2 – General Knowledge about Cologne: From Roman history to FC, Carnival, brewing culture, and Veedel, all the way to real insider questions.
• Round 3 – Kölsch Music: This is where you guess songs – including those based on creative, AI-generated images. Those who know Bläck Fööss, Höhner, Kasalla & Co. have a clear advantage.

Kölsch Music & genuine Veedel atmosphere

Between rounds, as well as before and after the quiz, Kölsch music is, of course, played. The “Kölschet Pläsier em Kwartier” is therefore more than just a pub quiz in Cologne – it’s an evening full of Veedel atmosphere, singing along, laughter, and Kölsch in your glass.
