World Cup Tournament Terms of Participation

Participation is free and open to those aged 18 and over. The 64 players who have secured a starting spot will be seeded in the tournament bracket. The game will be played in CLASSIC mode (Rock, Paper, Scissors) and a knockout system (winner advances). Players will be called to the battle mat, where the match between the two players will take place. Matches will be played in a ‘Best of 5’ format with one time-out (a short, self-chosen game interruption by showing the time-out symbol) until the final. The final will be played in a ‘Best of 7’ format with two time-outs. Delays or the use of symbols other than those approved will be penalized by the referee with a yellow card for the first offense and a red card for repeated offenses (though these can also be useful for confusing the opponent). Each player may consult a self-appointed mental coach during the game.

Muccarones

Muccarones is the in-game currency issued by the play money central bank – the LEAD BANK. Participants can use this play money to place bets on ongoing games, buy into the tournament, participate in auctions and blind auctions, or engage in other forms of corruption.

Prizes

The World Cup Tournament winner receives ten cases of Gaffel Kölsch, and the runner-up receives a 5-liter party keg of Gaffel Kölsch. Additional prizes and vouchers for a brewery tour with The Kölsch Crew will be auctioned off for Muccarones.
