I come from Southern Brazil and have been living in Cologne since 2017.
How Did You get into Doing Beer House Tours in Cologne?
Even during my studies, I worked as a tour guide in the Old Town, primarily with guests from river cruises. After a break, I was eager to get back into the job – but this time in a more relaxed way and closer to people. That’s how I started doing the beer house tours.
Why Do You Enjoy Guiding People through Cologne’s Beer Houses so much?
Because I love meeting people from all over the world and showing them the city I’ve chosen as my home. Every tour is different, and every evening brings new encounters and stories.
Which Anecdote or Story Do You Particularly like to Tell?
The story of the Schmitz column! Many find its connection to the moon landing incredibly funny – and it’s a great example of Cologne humor.
What Makes Cologne Special for You?
The people are open, warm, and easy-going. I have lived in various places around the world, but Cologne was the first place where I immediately felt at home.
What Absolutely Must You See in Cologne (besides the Cathedral)?
The Perfume Museum. It’s not as well-known as many other attractions, but it’s absolutely fascinating and a true gem of the city.
Fun Fact about You
I have been working in film and TV since 2010 – first as an assistant director, today primarily as a screenwriter. I prefer writing series, mostly comedy, and also teach+++++.
